Offering a sun deck, a shared lounge, and a golf course, the 3-star smoke-free Hotel Toscana Interlaken is nestled in the shopping Central Interlaken district, approximately 25 minutes' walk from the ruined Weissenau Castle. Boasting a location right around the corner from Hoheweg, this Interlaken hotel features 35 rooms as well as a restaurant and a luggage room.
The hotel is in the centre of Interlaken, around 500 metres from the Statue of Yash Chopra and 3.3 km from Jungfrau Park Interlaken. Sports fans can also visit the Bodeli Ice Sports Centre, within a few blocks of the Toscana Interlaken, and take their families to the Seilpark Interlaken, which is a mere 1.4 km away. The property is located in the ski area, next to a lake. Along with other cultural attractions the Kunsthaus Interlaken is nestled about a 5-minute ride from the hotel. There is Jungfraustrasse bus stop in proximity to the Toscana.

During my recent stay at Hotel Toscana in Interlaken over Christmas, I found myself torn between the hotel's promising location and its less-than-stellar execution. Nestled in the pedestrianized center next to the lively Höhematte park, it offers a prime spot to explore the stunning backdrop of the Alps. Plus, with skiing options galore and vibrant area activities, there is no shortage of outdoor adventures at your doorstep. While the room was clean with all the necessary amenities-like a flat-screen TV with over 300 channels and a lovely balcony to take in the festive atmosphere-I couldn't help but feel that the charm of the building was overshadowed by the indifferent service. The staff seemed too caught up in their games to lend a hand, which was disappointing given the potential that this establishment holds. On a brighter note, my travel companions and I enjoyed the convenience of the hotel's two restaurants and easy access to the areas buzzing with winter festivities. Though I left the hotel with mixed feelings, I must admit that the stunning locales and the overall ambiance of Interlaken redeemed the experience somewhat. If only the service could catch up with the amazing surroundings!
